The stone house
Romazzino, Arzachena, Olbia
The Emerald Coast owes its name to the variations in the color of the sea that creeps between the rocks from the Gulf of Arzachena and the Gulf of Cugnana on the northeast coast of Sardinia.
The Stone House has the typical local style and has been included among the twenty most exclusive villas on the Emerald Coast. The structure is made of bare fieldstone, granite pillars, dry stone walls and lintels of juniper and chestnut. The imperfectly shaped interiors are finished with waxed plasters that have the neutral colors of the earth.
The rooms follow the natural contours of the land and overlook the pool and the gulf below. Traditional local craftsmanship techniques were used in the conservative restoration, faithful to Gerard Bethoux’s architectural design. The hallmark of this home lies in offering a refined yet informal beauty.
